David Moore

David D. Moore is a native of Jackson County, having attended Cullowhee and Smoky Mountain High Schools.  He graduated from Appalachian State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis in 2000.  Mr. Moore passed the Tennessee Bar in 2000, eventually concentrating his practice in medical malpractice and nursing home negligence defense.  Mr. Moore returned to North Carolina where he focuses on representing plaintiffs in personal injury claims, workers compensation claims and Social Security Disability matters but handles a wide range of litigation matters in Western North Carolina.  Mr. Moore is licensed in both Tennessee and North Carolina, is admitted to practice in all state courts in Tennessee and North Carolina, the United States. District Courts for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the Western District of North Carolina, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association.

Mr. Moore is an active member involved in many community activities, including wide ranging humanitarian work in Bosnia-Herzegovina.  Mr. Moore is the Immediate Past President of REACH of Jackson County, Inc., Immediate Past Chair of the Good Samaritan Clinic of Jackson County, Inc. and is a trustee for United Methodist Camp Tekoa.  He is also a member of the Sylva Rotary Club.

He has three children, Emily, Erin and Andrew. In his spare time, he enjoys running and most sporting events.
