Kim Coward

Kim was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on November 25, 1962.  She graduated from Iowa State University, summa cum laude, in 1985, with a B.S. in Political Science, Phi Beta Kappa. She received her juris doctor from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School 1988, where she was a member of the law review.  Her practice has been devoted to residential and commercial real estate, entity formation and probate.  She is a Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law (Residential Transactions) and serves as the attorney for the Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtors.

She has volunteered for many organizations, including the Summit Charter School, the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society, Christ School, Rabun Gap Nacoochee School, the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson County Travel and Tourism Authority and the Cashiers Community Foundation.

When not practicing law, Kim teaches scuba diving, gardens and cans. Kim is married to Bill Coward, another partner in Coward, Hicks & Siler.  They have two teenage children, Austin and Claire.
